Easy Grilled Fruit Recipes Perfect For Any Day

Fruits have always been referred to as nature’s dessert. They’re nutritious, adds color to any menu and most of all, tasty! Like anything else cooked on the grill, fruits become more juicy and delicious when smoked. So the next time you have a cookout, try a healthy sweet dessert – make any of these easy grilled fruit recipes!
Cherry and Peach Delight with Honey-Cinnamon Syrup
What you need:
- 3 peaches, pit discarded and sliced into chunks
- 1 3/4 cups cherries, pits and stems removed then halved
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Vanilla ice cream
In a saucepan, heat together honey, butter and cinnamon over low heat until butter has melted. Set aside. Thread peaches and cherries onto skewers then cook on a pre-heated grill over medium high heat until fruits are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. When ready, remove fruits from skewers into a bowl. Pour honey-cinnamon syrup over fruits and stir to coat fruits with syrup. Spoon fruit mixture over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Fruit Salad Grill Style
What you need:
- 1/2 cantaloupe, sliced into cubes
- 1/2 pineapple, sliced into cubes
- 1/2 watermelon, sliced into cubes
- 2 peaches, sliced into wedges
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Balsamic vinegar for drizzling
Thread the cubes of cantaloupe, pineapple and watermelon alternately onto skewers. Cook on a pre-heated grill over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side. When ready, allow to cool for a few minutes then remove from skewers. Place grilled fruit on a serving dish then drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Top with fresh basil. Sprinkle with a little bit of salt if desired.
Sugar and Rum Pineapple Rings
What you need:
- 1 pineapple, cored and sliced into about 8 rings
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup dark rum
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Combine brown sugar, rum and cinnamon in a bowl. Place pineapple rings in a large dish then pour rum mixture over it. Toss to coat fruit with syrup. Allow to soak for 15 to 20 minutes. When ready, cook pineapples on a pre-heated grill over medium high heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side or just until grill marks appear. Heat through the excess rum mixture in a small saucepan until reduced in half. To serve, drizzle rum sauce over grilled pineapples. Top with a scoop of ice cream if desired.
