PENUMBRAL ECLIPSE ON FRIDAY 2/10/2017

PENUMBRAL ECLIPSE ON FRIDAY 2/10/2017

On February 10, 2017 the full moon might look a tad bit darker than the typical full moon, the reason is because it will pass through Earth’s faint penumbral shadow for a portion of the night. It is called a Penumbral Eclipse, which will be easily viewed after sunset of February 10th, from the eastern portion of North and South America. The American Pacific Coast might be at a disadvantage due to the fact that the shallow penumbral eclipse would contend with the waning glare of evening twilight.
