This Academy Award winner will certainly be a winner for you and your date. As an Italian comedy-drama, you will laugh and you will cry. The story begins with a Jewish waiter who humorously wins the hand of a beautiful lady. Several years later, the man is sent to a Nazi concentration camp with his son. Trying to shield his son from the horrors, he makes up games for his young son. A beautiful tale of sacrifice and love, this is a must-see.

This 1939 historical romance is an epic classic. At four hours in length, this famous film is beautifully made with stunning costumes. The leading lady, Scarlett O’Hara manages to fire off some fantastic one-liners, and the romance between Rhett and Scarlet, played by Clark Gables and Vivien Leigh is enough to make any couple feel inspired.

The 1960s was a fascinating decade for American pop culture, and there is no better movie to reflect this than Breakfast At Tiffany’s. What is not to love about Leonardo DiCaprio and Christopher Walken pairing as a son/father duo? Check out this comedic drama for a fascinating period piece on the fifties and sixties. With some fantastic cameos, including Ellen Pompeo as a stewardess and Jennifer Garner as an escort, you won’t want to miss Amy Adams and Tom Hanks as well.

Both Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix truly outdo themselves with singing roles in the Johnny Cash biopic. It’s a great historical piece with a fantastic soundtrack and a complicated love story to boot.
