Upma, also known as Uppindi, Uppumavu, Uppittu, Kharabath, Uppeet, and Rulanv is an Indian dish made of semolina or rava. The name is an amalgam of two words: uppu means “salt” and maavu means “flour”. Upma is a common South Indian breakfast dish.
