It’s Time For the Delta Aquarids 2017

The Delta Aquarids meteor shower, the annual celestial event that occurs every July at this time, should reach it’s peak this week during the dark hours before dawn. Check out the sky between mid-night and sunrise on July 28th. The peak isn’t definite, but you can relax and enjoy the sky since there will be no moon to distract your viewing during these hours.

The Delta Aquarids are rather faint meteors, which mean that they might number about 10 to 15 meteors per hour in a dark sky.

This will be soon followed by another summer annual meteor shower, the Perseids, which peak around August 12 or 13th, 2017.
