China’s Chang’e 4 Probe Lands on the Far Side of the Moon

 

A spacecraft that belongs to the Chinese National Space Agency (CNSA) has just landed on a previously unexplored region on the far side of the moon.

Changโ€™e 4 is aย Chinese lunar explorationย mission that achieved the first soft-landing in the unexplored South Pole-Aitken basinon 3 January 2019.

The roboticย landerย andย roverย were launched on 7 December 2018 and entered orbit around the Moon on 12 December 2018.

The Changโ€™e 4 is the first spacecraft to land on the far side of the moon.
