NTN Buzztime, Inc. (NYSE American: NTN) is rolling out a new series of self-published digital arcade games on Buzztime touchscreen tablets at over 2,700 locations. The first title, Buzztime Soccer, launched on June 1st alongside a $2,000 sweepstakes (20 players won $100 each). Players entered by registering, then playing a round of Buzztime Soccer. Through the first week of July, there were over a half-million gaming sessions and the average time spent playing was about an hour (55 minutes).
“Our goal is to create entertaining, engaging games for players that add value to their visit at Buzztime locations. By driving player engagement, we’re increasing dwell time – giving our customer locations an opportunity to generate more revenue. Buzztime Soccer joins an existing lineup of games in the digital arcade, which are all available in-venue for on-demand gameplay. By self-publishing arcade games, Buzztime gains more control over each game’s design – and can optimize the experience for players and customer locations. Games like Buzztime Soccer have been customized to incorporate leaderboard challenges, competitive multi-player modes and advertising opportunities.
