Attendees at the 2018 Summer Fancy Food Show are the first to get an in-person look at Oxigen’s exciting brand evolution and overhaul to its drinkoxigen.com website. The changes provide a cleaner and more sophisticated look to the brand’s scientifically proven oxygen-enhanced exercise recovery and lifestyle products.
Oxigen water and shots are oxygen-enhanced using a proprietary, highly stable O4 oxygen molecule in liquid form. While already setting itself apart by offering proven and all-natural benefits of added oxygen, the brand refresh further enables Oxigen to stand out in a highly competitive global functional beverages category.
“Oxigen has enjoyed steady and significant growth since our launch in 2015, driven by a highly experienced and passionate team dedicated to our long-term success,” says Blair Bentham, Founder and CEO, Formula Four Beverages Inc, makers of Oxigen. “Refreshing our brand is about more than changing a logo or updating a tag line, it’s also about sharing the incredible story of Oxigen in a way that resonates with consumers domestically and around the world.”
The company undertook both quantitative and qualitative research before finalizing its refresh, with the brand strategy lead by international branding, media and content agency SCS | Schiefer Chopshop, based out of Irvine, California.
“Oxigen combines life’s two most important elements: oxygen and water. When your body has access to more oxygen—thanks to the proprietary O4 oxygen molecule—it gives you faster recovery, increased stamina and improved focus. The message is that simple,” says Bentham.
Oxigen water, currently sold in a 20 fl. oz. 100% rPET bottle, is formulated to deliver 100 times more oxygen than regular water, while Oxigen shot is a 0.5 fl. oz. concentrated shot with another five times that amount.
Ahead of the refresh, the company has gained a foothold with major retail partners across the U.S. and significantly expanded its distribution network to include grocery, natural, convenience, and the vending channel.
Oxigen is ramping up its marketing efforts in key regions across the U.S. this summer, including sampling and guerilla marketing opportunities to coincide with tournament games involving German soccer champions FC Bayern, taking place in Philadelphia and Miami. Oxigen acts as the Official Functional Water + Recovery Tool of the world champion team.
Oxigen’s two products are distributed throughout the U.S., with the water available in approximately 8500 retail locations. The company is targeting 40,000 points of sale by the end of 2018. Its oxygen-enhanced water is also sold in Mexico and the Middle East.
