PHOENIX COMIC FEST ANNOUNCES EVENT IMPROVEMENTS

Phoenix, Arizona, March 2, 2018 โ€”ย Square Egg Entertainment, Inc, the parent company of Phoenix Comic Fest, spent last week informing attendees of changes to security, event credentials, and overall experience of the event. Attendees can expect a vastly improved experience getting into the event, a smoother experience with celebrity photo ops and autographs, and a better chance of seeing most popular celebrity panels.

Security improvements include twice the number of entrances over last year, walk-through metal detectors, dedicated lines for VIP credential holders, ADA/accessibility, cosplayers, and attendees with clear bags or not bags. The company has also announced their switch to RFID wristbands to ensure a safer experience.

Square Egg Entertainment, Inc. recently announced their partnership with Pride Group, a company that has dealt with many high profile, large events such as the Superbowl, NCAA Championship, Final Four, and more. Rigorous planning over the new security processes has been ongoing for the last eight months.

Improvements have also been made to the overall experience inside the event. Square Egg Entertainment, Inc. announced this week that photo ops for celebrities will be sold in 15-minute time-slots. This change was implemented in order to decrease the time attendees spend in line while also allowing for better crowd management. Attendees will line up right before the scheduled time of their photo op with wait times shortened to about 15 minutes. VIP credential holders will have a dedicated line for photo ops and autographs with guests.

Celebrity panels will no longer offer pre-paid reserved seating options (excluding special events). All standard celebrity panels will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis with a priority access line for VIP credential holders. The main panel room, Ballroom 301 West, has expanded to allow twice the number of attendees into the room. The second celebrity panel room has moved to Ballroom 120 North and will also double in seating room.

Still to come, this week will take you “Behind the Scenes” of Phoenix Comic Fest. Our staff will be answering questions from attendees and fans. Attendees can submit their questions to the staff directly on Facebook or Twitter or emailย [email protected]. Phoenix Comic Fest staff will go live on Friday, March 9, at 3:00 p.m. for a “Behind the Scenes” wrap-up.
