Jeep’s newly refined 2019 Cherokee, offers appealing exterior styling changes and new tech features.
This is not a redesign, it is more of a makeover and one of the main area that had an obvious facelift is in the front of the vehicle, in the area of the headlights. This was a pet peeve of mine and it is the same issue I had with the Nissan Juke. In the previous model years, the Cherokee headlights were oddly placed on either side next to the bottom of the grill, with the running lights and turn signals wrap-arounds at the top. The headlight/grill configuration has been rearranged to reflect more of a lineage with the Grand Cherokee and Compass.
The interior is roomy and is very stylish, with nice features as a nice touch display and more. As stated from Jeep about Cherokee’s interior, ” A driver-oriented cockpit loaded with easy-to-use, useful technology, clever, thoughtful storage features and more than 80 available safety and security features – including eight standard air bags –provide occupants everything they need for any adventure they undertake.”
Under the hood, Jeep is offering a new power plant, a 2.0L turbocharged 4 cylinder engine option alongside the V6 for those buyers looking for an option with better fuel mileage.
The 2019 Jeep Cherokee is available in five different trim configurations – Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, Overland and the rugged Trail Rated Trailhawk.
The Trailhawk trim level offers one of the best in its class off road experience with a real 4X4 system, 9” ground clearance, and recovery hooks.
The 2019 Jeep Cherokee is surely a definite contender in the compact SUV segment, with the likes of Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, and Nissan Rogue.
