Hillside Junction Division is an HO Scale DC model railroad layout based on the commercial and industrial areas of Southern California, focusing on the Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles. ย The city of Hillside is an embodiment of the cities of Long Beach, San Pedro, Wilmington, and Carson. The idea for the theme of this layout actually dates back to the early 70s, when I was 7 years old, back when I build a model railroad with my mom, she called the city Rodneydale (Rod City). Hillside was my idea back then, it was based on Signal Hill and Long Beach.
This video culminates the work that I’ve done on this new layout over the past year to date.
There’s still much work to be done and I will continue to share the progress with you.
