Due to years of sell-out trains to its popular Rails & Ales Brewfest Train, the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad is offering its largest seating capacity ever assembled. “We are planning on a fantastic season this year on the Rio Grande and want to kick it off with our largest Rails & Ales ever,” says Director of Passenger Operations, Andrew Christl.
The special event continues in its 12th year in partnership with the San Luis Valley Brewing Company. All riders including the brewers can only access the remote mountain Brewfest via train. Upon arrival at Fir Summit, under wide open skies guests can enjoy live music, local barbeque and samples from over forty craft breweries. For those looking to start the fun early there is a Block Party at the San Luis Valley Brewing Company in downtown Alamosa the night before from 5pm to midnight.
