Russian media reported on a very bright flash that practically turned night into day over a wide section of western Russia on Sunday, January 7.
According to some of the reports, “the black sky suddenly turned momentarily deep blue as if it were a bright day.” Some reports stated that there was some earth movement as well.
The flash caused some fears of a U.S. air strike on North Korea. Experts insist the phenomenon was not manmade and that there were no reports of missile tests or explosions.
Another thought was that it might be a meteor. So far there are no reports of a meteor event occurring during that time. Russian media reported on a very bright flash that practically turned night into day over a wide section of western Russia on Sunday, January 7.
