Over the last few years, a lot of people have added a new appliance to their kitchens: an air fryer. The promise of crispy food, convenience, and perhaps slightly healthier cooking than traditional frying is definitely appealing. For those that don’t know, an air fryer doesn’t fry at all. It’s essentially a countertop convection oven.
With that in mind, not everything you would normally cook in a deep fryer — or for that matter, an oven — is a good option for an air fryer. While frozen foods and certain veggies will come out great, other things will burn, dry out, or end up a total mess. Here’s what you should absolutely never cook in an air fryer.
