LOS ANGELES, CA /24-7PressRelease/ — Congratulations to this year’s winner of the Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship, Tyler Kleinsasser! Dr. Arthur A. Kezian is proud to award Steven with the scholarship amount of $1,200 to put towards his studies. This scholarship is awarded to a deserving high school or university student every year.
By presenting students with a scholarship opportunity, I can help them understand the importance of individual accomplishment when it comes to reaching their objectives and assist them financially.
Tyler Kleinsasser is a very deserving winner of the 2021-2022 scholarship award. Tyler is currently pursuing his achieve his his master’s degree in Civil/Industrial Engineering & Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Tyler earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the same school. Tyler has managed to achieve a 4.0 grade average, despite a rigorous course load and participation in an impressive amount of extracurricular and volunteer activities. One thing that Dr. Kezian found amazing about Tyler is his passion for science and career choice was born out of inspiration from his family. Tyler’s interest in engineering began early in his life, as he observed his father who was a self-employed contractor, as well as his two grandparents who ran a construction firm. The bridges that his grandparents had worked on and houses that his father had built inspired and intrigued Tyler as a young child.
Now, with the Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship money, he is one step closer to his goals. Having the scholarship award money will allow Tyler to focus on what is important to him, his studies and volunteering.
“Many individuals and organizations have invested in me, so I hope to return the favor to others. I see myself presenting at local high schools, technical schools, and colleges and talking with students about the benefits of a science-related career.”
The Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship was created by Dr. Kezian, a Doctor of Dental Surgery who practices in Los Angeles. When Dr. Kezian was a student himself, he was awarded a scholarship which greatly improved his ability to study and become the dentist that he is today. He was awarded the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation scholarship which helps students of Armenian origin from developing countries go to University.
Knowing how much this scholarship would help, he vowed that when he was in a position to do so, he would give back to the community. He created the Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship for students in the science field to help a deserving person achieve their educational goals. The Dr. Arthur A. Kezian Science Scholarship is awarded to a high school or college student who has demonstrated academic merit, community service, and financial need.
“I have been a student majoring in science myself and know how competitive the field is. By presenting students with a scholarship opportunity, I can help them understand the importance of individual accomplishment when it comes to reaching their objectives, assist them financially, and teach them about the significance of higher education.”
