To help reduce the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and oceans, Samsung Electronics has taken proactive steps to reduce its plastic footprint and raise awareness of plastic’s impact on the environment.
Since announcing the Samsung Environmental Declaration in 1992, Samsung has implemented a variety of environmentally responsible policies that have made its industry-leading innovations more eco-friendly and sustainable. In particular, when producing new products, Samsung recycles as much plastic as possible from electronic waste. And recently, the company announced plans to replace plastic packaging materials with paper and other environmentally sustainable elements.
