Do you remember ‘Oumuamua? That strange interstellar object that travelled through our solar system back in 2017.
The object sparked many theories of what it was and it’s origins. It was something akin to a odd, shaped comet with strange icy contents from another galaxy. Or that it was a derelict spacecraft made by an alien civilization
A new theory about ‘Oumuamua suggests the weird object was a pancake-shaped chunk of nitrogen ice, a remnant of a Pluto-like world from another solar system.
The unfortunate part of it is that ‘Oumuamua was spotted while it was leaving our solar system, so a more thorough observation was next to impossible, which is why we have more theories than answers.
