Almost 500 Gallons of Hand Sanitizer Donated to Houston Fire Department
HOUSTON, April 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — The team at Yellow Rose Distilling, Houston’s first legal whiskey distillery, have always taken great satisfaction in producing a product that makes people happy – and now they’re proudly creating a product to help keep their neighbors safe.
Like other generous distilleries and manufacturing facilities across the country, Yellow Rose has been granted FDA approval to quickly adapt distillery equipment to bottle alcohol-based antiseptic hand sanitizer to help combat shortages due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency.
The Houston Fire Department sent firefighters and trucks today to the Yellow Rose distillery to pick-up almost 500 gallons of hand sanitizer donated to help these brave fire and medical professionals stay safe as they work to respond to this ongoing crisis.
The Yellow Rose-bottled hand sanitizer is fully compliant with World Health Organization, Food and Drug Administration, and Centers for Disease Control recommendations and is safe for consumer use. Yellow Rose will continue to bottle hand sanitizer product indefinitely, until need subsides.
